Thomas A. Caruso, 1933-2019

Conca D’Oro was founded by the Caruso father and son, who together created recipes we have grown to love, started the tradition of serving our desserts at every holiday, and showed us how to embrace growing up Italian. Today we celebrate and remember the life of Thomas A. Caruso, an ambitious man, who through his strength in his words and actions, influenced Conca D’Oro to grow and made Conca D’Oro feel like home to many.
When I arrived to Conca D’Oro in 1990, my adventure with Tom began and I learned everything I now know from his teachings. I am eternally grateful to have had Tom as a mentor, an instructor, and a father figure, as he showed me how to work hard and pursue success. With his blessings, I had the opportunity to continue his legacy when I became owner in 2003. Tom’s continual praises, encouragement, and advice motivated our business to reach new heights.
His spirit will live on in our hearts.
